During the 81st Session of the Iowa State Legislature, Rich served as a standing member of the House Committee on Economic Growth, the House Committee on Environmental Protection (vice chair), and the House Committee on the Judiciary. Additionally, Rich seved on the Joint Sub-Committee on Agricultural and Natural Resources Appropriations.
